OUR HISTORY

Our story so far

1973
When it all started

Andrew White established Glenside, taking inspiration for the company name from the name of his house.

1990s
First premises opened

As Glenside expanded, Andrew’s son Charles joined the business, bringing experience in fit-out and construction. During this period, Glenside opened its first premises in High Wycombe and expanded its services to include furniture alongside fit-out works.

2008–2016
A year of change

Glenside continued to develop its technical capabilities, launching its first website, introducing in-house 2D CAD, becoming an LLP and producing its first in-house 3D visual. The business also achieved SafeContractor accreditation, demonstrating its commitment to health and safety standards.

2018–2023
New premises & showroom

Glenside launched an in-house recycling programme, moved into new premises and showroom in Reading, became a limited company and celebrated 50 years of success in 2023.

2026
Brand refresh

Glenside refreshed its brand identity, launching a new brochure design alongside this website to reflect the business it has become and set the stage for the next chapter of growth.

Communication from Glenside was excellent, although the project wasn’t always plain sailing, and as with any project, we hit a few unexpected road bumps along the way, Glenside were exceptional. They were always quick to offer solutions and go above and beyond to ensure we adhered to our timeline and we completed the works on time.
