A need for quality
Glenside was appointed to design and deliver a high-quality boardroom and adjacent break-out space within a newly constructed building in Witney, Oxfordshire. The project formed part of a wider workplace investment for a global life sciences organisation and required an exceptional level of detail, coordination and finish.
The brief was to create a striking, contemporary boardroom suitable for senior-level meetings, supported by a flexible break-out space for informal discussion and collaboration.
A space to impress
The client provided an initial concept and clear direction for the spaces, with an emphasis on creating an executive environment that would feel both impressive and welcoming. Key client priorities for the project included uncompromising quality, strong health and safety performance, adherence to a defined programme and firm, transparent costs.
Glenside was engaged to develop the design in full and deliver the complete installation as a single, coordinated package.
Attention to detail
Working closely with the client team, Glenside translated the original vision into a cohesive, high-end interior solution. Particular attention was paid to detailing, finishes and integration of building services to ensure the space performed at the highest level while maintaining a refined aesthetic.
The scope of works included:
- Feature ceiling designs with integrated lighting
- Acoustic fixtures to support clear presentation
- Feature walls and bespoke cabinetry
- Coordinated lighting, electrical, and HVAC installations
- High-quality flooring and wall finishes
- Bespoke wall art
- Supply and installation of all furniture
Throughout the project, Glenside also worked in close collaboration with the client’s incumbent contractors responsible for AV, sprinkler, and fire alarm systems, ensuring seamless coordination and integration.
Quality, coordination & craftsmanship
Given the senior nature of the boardroom environment, precision in design development and installation quality was critical. The project required close coordination between multiple specialist disciplines, all delivered within a seven-week on-site programme.
Robust project management, a proactive approach to health and safety, and rigorous quality control ensured the works were completed safely, on time, and to an exceptional standard.
