A tired space.

Having worked with Glenside at their previous employers, we were contacted by the Property Management Director of RO in connection with their premises at 6 Bell Street in Maidenhead. The space had recently been handed back by a tenant and was in a very tired state. To enable our client to let the space again, they wanted to invest in creating an environment where future incoming tenants would want to work.

RO were very clear from the beginning that they wanted to provide any incoming

tenants with a premium office space and create an atmosphere where people want to come into work.


Given the configuration of the building, we decided to design it so that one wing had a suite of meeting spaces, and the other wing was used for office, collaboration and break-out space. From initial space plans to the selection of finishes and production of photorealistic CGIs, we were able to breathe fresh light into the space.


The final design was achieved through close collaboration with the client and local commercial agents to ensure the space was on trend and met likely tenant needs.

Glenside’s scope included:


  • Concept and detailed design
  • Space planning
  • Provision for photo-realistic Computer-Generated Images (CGIs)
  • Management of Building Regulations compliance and certification
  • Interior design including assistance with selection of finishes
  • Electrical and data alterations including measurable energy sockets.
  • Upgrade to LED lighting
  • Vinyl wrapping
  • Supply and installation of furniture
  • Interior dressing / staging
  • External works including supply and install of a bike shelter.
  • Live planting throughout

Co-ordinated & on-time delivery.

As the works were carried out in a multi-tenant building RO wanted to keep the reception operational for the duration of works and minimise disruption to others in the building.


Through careful planning, positive working relationships and detailed collaboration, the project was achieved on programme and without any disruption to the other tenants.


All works were completed in a condensed timeline to ensure that the space was ready to be let as soon as possible.
