Creating a market-leading academy space
Glenside was appointed to convert an under-utilised showroom into a professional training academy for engineers, complemented by a refreshed reception space. With a broad initial brief, we guided the client in distilling their vision into a clear, deliverable concept that would support presentations, hands-on training, and collaborative learning.
Bringing light, life, and function
The existing space was dark and lacked engagement. By uncovering existing windows and opening up the ceiling, we introduced natural light and created a bright, industrial aesthetic.
The academy now features:
- A product showcase wall with feature lighting
- Timeline wall highlighting the company’s journey
- Working dining and break-out area
- Bleacher seating for training sessions
- Audio visual systems and display screens
- Practical working zones for hands-on learning
- Bespoke cabinetry, wall graphics, and an enclosed storeroom
Glenside also coordinated with the client’s incumbent engineers to integrate ventilation installations using the client’s own products.
Extending excellence to reception
Following the academy’s completion, the project scope was extended to include the reception area. New finishes, feature walls, signage, and feature flooring now create a cohesive arrival experience that links seamlessly into the training academy.
